Construction request for information log: drawing and spec references, required-by dates, answers, cost and time impact, change links
Mode d'emploi: Use it to track site questions to designers from first issue to closed answer. Fill the drawing reference and required-by date for every RFI. The main pitfall is treating an answer that changes scope as an instruction without raising a change record.

A register of construction requests for information (RFIs): questions from the site team or a contractor to the designers or contract administrator about drawings, specifications or site conditions, with the drawing and model references, the answer, the due dates and any cost or time impact. Based on common construction practice. This is the site RFI, not a procurement request for information (for that, see
business/rfi). Replace every[bracketed]value and every row marked Example.
