# Moving Plan: [Current address] to [New address]

> A moving checklist organised by timeline from eight weeks before the move
> to the weeks after, with address changes, utilities, an inventory and box
> labelling system, a movers comparison, a budget and a moving-day plan.
> Based on common household relocation practice. Replace every
> `[bracketed]` value and every row marked *Example*.

<!--
Guidance: How to use this template
- Set the moving date first, then book movers or a van; good dates sell out.
- Work through the timeline week by week; move unfinished items forward,
  never delete them.
- Number every box and record it in the inventory; it makes unpacking and
  any insurance claim much easier.
- Keep important documents, medicines and valuables with you, not on the truck.
